Sentra Insights is a publication by Sentra, written for people starting, running, and growing businesses in the Philippines.

Who the publication serves

Our focus is the everyday work of Philippine shops, cafés, and other small businesses: choosing a POS system, managing inventory, recording payments, and keeping useful operating records. Guidance should account for local workflows and the circumstances of the business using it.

The articles are intended to be useful whether or not a reader chooses Sentra. Product references should be relevant to the question being answered.

Evidence and review

Our publishing standard requires authors to identify the Philippine reader and question, explain relevant local context, and support material regulatory, tax, employment, pricing, and payment claims with current primary sources. Local and provider-specific limits should be clear. Hypothetical examples should be labeled as illustrations.

The standard also requires an editorial review of relevance and evidence before publication. Technical checks alone do not establish factual accuracy or expertise. Unresolved material sourcing or relevance gaps must be resolved before an article is published.

Articles identify their author. A Sentra byline identifies the organizational author; it does not imply independent or specialist review. Where a real specialist review is recorded, the article should identify the reviewer, relevant background, review date, and scope.

Updates and corrections

Articles retain their original publication date. An updated date identifies a meaningful editorial revision, rather than a routine rebuild or a minor formatting change.

Our correction policy requires a consequential factual correction to be explained in the article itself. A review that does not change the guidance can be recorded separately without presenting it as a new publication or revision.
